on the german book house MÄRZ : owned by Jörg Schröder which
worked also in the Melzer house, and founded in Mars 1969, this
house published for the first time in Germany Beckett , Miller ,
Burroughs , Genet , and Nabokov. Was quite specialised in Beat culture,
art, counter-culture movments and revolutionnary texts. It had published
also the porn masochist Histoire d'O by Pauline Reage. Some examples
of their selection : Leonard Cohen, Robert Crumb, Carlo Castaneda,
Jan Cremer, John Giorno, Parker Tyler etc...quite underground and
avant-guard!
